Were Blood Coming October 15th!

Were Blood, Book 3 in the Were Legends series, has a release date. It will be available for download from Ellora’s Cave on October, 15th, 2010.

Hope you enjoy Blanca and Worth’s story!

Blurb:

Blanca Reble has been captured, yet again, to be used as some Vamp’s blood slave. Now she’s determined to escape the hold her captor has on her. But Worth isn’t who he seems and the way her body and mind reacts to his touch isn’t what she’s used to. It should be only a matter of time before their blood bond wears off, but what replaces it is an undeniable connection that Blanca’s never experienced before.

Worth Sinclaire has never wanted a blood slave; he never had use for one. But when he sees the Were femme shackled and hurt in his cousin’s cellar, he purchases her for his own to protect her from a worse fate. Now he has to decide what’s more important—his loyalty to his own kind, or his growing love for a woman his people will never accept.

Were Blood Cover Art!

Huge thanks to the cover artist, Dar Albert, for capturing the story elements and designing this gorgeous cover for Were Blood:

The glow of the sun in the background is a huge element in the story. The castle is just a small part but it makes the cover. As well as the heroine. Beautiful.

Updates

Great news for the Were Legends series:

Were Blood is officially Coming Soon. I signed the contract with Ellora’s Cave and edits will begin next month, I believe. Were Blood is Blanca’s story and will be able to be read as a stand alone book. Vampires will be introduced into the mix. In fact, the hero, Worth Sinclere, is a sexy-as-sin bloodsucker. Anyone who’s read the first two books will know that this will create a ton of conflict, especially with Blanca. I’m looking forward to seeing what the readers think about this one. Really exciting!

In other news, Were Seduction received a 4 star review from Night Owl Reviews. Janalee, the reviewer, had this to say:

“Ms. Slater imbibes a touch of magic and a whole lot of heat to create a wonderful book about two sexual characters that burn brightly together.

Kaige and Ambria are two characters that are real and likeable. Both have strengths and weakness that are true to life. The sex is powerful and explicit, just the way I love it!

Were Seduction is an excellent stand alone book, but this reviewer will be reading the first book in the series, WereSlave. I have to see how it all started.

Conjure a copy of Were Seduction by Lia Slater at Ellora’s Caves today. This is a paranormal pleaser.”

Update

Sorry I haven’t posted in so long. I’ve been busy finishing up the third book in the Were Legends series, Were Blood (working title). I’m turning it into my editor this week. It’s almost too hard to say goodbye. I loved writing Blanca and Worth’s story. Well, I always love writing my characters’ stories. This one was no different.

Were Seduction (the second book – and Kaige’s story) is waiting for a release date. More news to come!

And WereSlave (the first book) received an excellent review from Two Lips Reviews. Tina, the reviewer, gave it a 5/5 and she had this to say:

Were Slave by Lia Slater is a sensuous journey that you will fall in love with… I really enjoy werewolf stories and Were Slave didn’t disappoint me. I intend to put Were Slave on my keeper shelf and hope to read more in the future by Ms. Slater.”
